Hurricane Shutters consisting of slat folding system that moves horizontally on tracks and stores on both sides of the opening. Moderately priced, it easily covers large openings, providing protection from flying debris
Hurricane Shutters made of extruded aluminum slats are stronger and more impact resistant. It Slides vertically over the window/door and stores in a box above the opening. It can be manually operated from the inside or outside.
These Hurricane Shutters are available in 14” wide overlapping panels. Steel panels are the most inexpensive panels in this category. They are also the heaviest, depending on gauge. Aluminum panels are a lighter weight option, but are more expensive. Clear panels are lighter that aluminum and steel.
